Why is there a separate organization such as the KBK founded?
• Due to the nature and content of our work it is difficult to follow years of intensive training courses. We want that to change that!
• Veterans have served and lose contact, we want that to change that! PTSD and "hard clay in society", we want to reduce that through Kyokushin!
• Kyokushin Karate provides physically and mentally fit soldiers! The military gets better staff!
• The image of the armed forces will be enhanced, and Kyokushin Karate will be stimulated!
• Solidarity through Kyokushin!
• The KBK distances itself from all the differences between the different associations. Anyone with the Kyokushin emblem on his / her karategi and with a military status is welcome! The new organization distances itself from political matters and is neutral to all. Only then we can achieve our objectives and bring Kyokushin to a higher level. We hope to create understanding with the true Budo-mind.
The KBK uses the expertise of existing Kyokushinschools and their distribution throughout the Netherlands. Ideal, given the fact that every three years a soldier has to change his/her location. This allowes you to keep on training and growing in Kyokushin!
! We try as much as possible the free organization!
What specific objectives we seek after, and what plans do we have?
a) organize a network of kyokushin karateka's inside and outside the military.
b) The organization of (inter) national events (tournaments, training camps and seminars).
c) The facilitation of participants in this (inter) national events.
d) The preparation and training of a national military team.
e) To keep courses for free to train at a karate school, both in the home and outside (depending on location and activities).
f) To enable participants to train at all times with the consent of the armed-forces so that the level is retained and may be raised.
g) The pursuit of military appreciation and recognition by the introduction of an armed-forces recognized skill badge. To contribute to the DT / GVT sport and dress.
h) The pursuit of establishing a karate federations recognized emblem of the KBK, to be worn on the karate-gi of their own school.
i) The pursuit of a legal framework for KBK activities on the basis of training allowance, travel and special leave.
j) The acquisition of other financial resources to succeed our goals.
k) Any other ideas and activities created for kyokushin karate among participants or prospective participants to promote, encourage, increase, retain, etc.
Soldiers, active and post-active, Veterans! Be a better karateka, military and human!
