Budokai-oldest

Budokai oldest Kaicho Jon Bluming.

What is a Budokai-oldest? Military regiments, units and government departments always have an Oldest. This is an honor given to the highest and the oldest officer in rank. This title is often given because of merit units for the organization.

The regiment commander is responsible for daily management, but the regiments oldest will always look at things with a wise eye, and is given the best seat with ceremonies.

After all we are soldiers, we are also sensitive to traditions and customs. Therfor we have offered Kaicho the title of Budokai-oldest, and he has accepted on April 25, 2009.

To participate in the KBK, there is only one membership requirement: the kyokushin karateka is serving active military, post-active military or veteran in accordance with the definition of the Ministry of Defense.

Unmistakably, the following facts: Kaicho Jon Bluming brought kyokushin to the Netherlands and the rest of Europe and he is 10th dan. He is also one of the most distinguished persons in the history of the Netherlands.

Given these facts , the Board of KBK decided to award Kaicho Jon Bluming with this honour. The Kaicho, like no other fits to the full descriptions.
